The action will improve their situation by enhancing the capacity and confidence of the MMVIC, generating solid information for campaign and advocacy, and by understanding and applying national laws and the international human rights framework, particularly the UNDRIP. The action will also enhance the MMVIC’s understanding of state laws and public administration and improve cooperation and collaboration between LAs and MMVIC. All these will require informed and sustained campaign and advocacy work by both the MMVIC and their representatives, and IPOs and CSOs to exert strong pressure on the relevant government authorities and state institutions. The CKPs will also act as a repository of traditional knowledge of the MMVIC and a community protocol will be developed for ethical access and the use of traditional knowledge.
